navigating health inequalities in the eu with ai-driven technologies
This project culminated in a Joint Statement between the European Commission , Centre for AI: Social & Digital Innovations (led by Pin Lean), and civil society organisation, Health Action International. With the endorsements of over 40 organisations, including academia and civil society organisations, the Joint Statement broadly calls for increased oversight and governance of health or medical AI systems and products and applying an intersectional layer to ensure that the human rights of key populations are protected.
This European Commission Thematic Network has now been transformed into a permanent Stakeholders’ Network on the EU Health Policy Platform.
